About
Linking Direction Resources
Linking Direction Resources is a Malaysia-based advisory practice specialising in franchise documentation and compliance preparation for franchise registration and licence renewal under the Franchise Act 1998 (Act 590).
We support franchisors by preparing clear, structured, and regulatory-aligned documentation for government submission, helping reduce delays, repeated rectifications, and unnecessary back-and-forth with authorities.
Our Role
Linking Direction Resources operates as a document-focused compliance advisory.
Our role is to bridge the gap between:
franchisors’ internal documents and operations, and
regulatory expectations for franchise approval and renewal.
We work alongside legal professionals, auditors, and company secretaries to ensure franchise submissions are consistent, complete, and submission-ready.
We do not replace legal or audit functions, or your marketing, sales, or franchise expansion team.
Practice Focus
Our work focuses on:
Franchise Agreements and Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD)
SOP structuring, tidying, and standardisation
Documentation preparation for government submission
Franchisor licence registration and renewal
Pre-submission compliance review and rectification
This focused scope allows us to maintain a high level of accuracy and regulatory clarity across each engagement.
Experience & Perspective
The practice is led by a consultant with hands-on experience supporting:
Local and China-based franchisors entering or operating in Malaysia
Franchise documentation preparation and renewal processes
Cross-functional coordination with legal, audit, and corporate secretarial teams
This experience enables us to anticipate common regulatory concerns and align documentation accordingly, particularly for cross-border franchisors unfamiliar with local submission expectations.
Our Approach
Our approach is guided by three principles:
Clarity
Documentation should be clear, structured, and internally consistent.
Alignment
All documents should reflect actual operations and regulatory expectations.
Readiness
Submissions should be prepared with completeness and reviewability in mind.
Our objective is not speed, but accuracy and reduced rework.
Beyond Franchise Compliance
In addition to franchise documentation, Linking Direction Resources also provides a separate advisory service focused on tenant–mall alignment, facilitating clearer communication between suitable tenants and shopping mall management. This service is advisory in nature and does not involve leasing or brokerage activities.
